IOM Travel Oppty — Several Locations

There are a few IOM professionals who prefer frequent travel in their career (by choice), and we have several options on the table.  This is designed for the true “road warrior” who would be committed to a full-time opportunity in which you’ll cover cases across the country.  It is important to note that assignments are based on need and could take place anywhere in the country.  If there is a slow week or a period in which you are not traveling, you would assist with cases in your home location.  This lifestyle is not for everyone, but for those of you who prefer it, here you go!

Position details and requirements:

  • Clinical Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of clinical IOM experience and a CNIM.
  • Location: You must reside in one of the following cities within driving distance of the airport.  Obviously, this is a traveling role, and you’ll need to utilize the airport frequently.  If there is a window of time in which you don’t travel, cases in your home city may be covered.

Eligible Locations: Atlanta, Tampa, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or Phoenix

  • Case load: There is going to be variation with this position, and flexibility is key.  There are times when an assignment may be 3-days in length and others in which it could be several weeks.  Again, the key is that you must be flexible enough to “go with the flow.”
  • Length of Assignments: There is no pre-determined formula.  You could be needed for 3 days in one city or 3 weeks in another.  Longer term housing may be arranged if travel exceeds a week.
  • Options on destinations: Destinations are selected based on varying factors.  Perhaps someone is on leave for 6 weeks in the Northeast, or maybe a colleague on the West Coast is sick for 2 days.  Remember that this is business travel, not vacation.  If flying with limited notice is not your cup of tea, this role is not for you.  Just like business travel in any field, you go where you must go.  If it’s Minnesota in January or Arizona in July…it is what it is!
  • Eligibility rules: This is a full-time, salaried position.  We cannot consider those seeking part-time, PRN, or contract travel.
  • Case Breakdown: TBD…different needs in different locations.  Hence, flexibility is critical.
  • Compensation: Negotiable package, but you can assume a highly competitive base salary + bonus plans + full benefits package.  As with any IOM role, compensation decisions are tied to experience and skill.
  • Call Requirement: You’ll still sometimes take call on the road, just like you would in most IOM roles. A call pay bonus can be earned if you are summoned for a case.
  • Timing/Other: We are setting up interviews immediately; Relocation assistance provided
