We have a very straightforward and mellow IOM opportunity in Wichita Falls, TX. This primarily entails working at 1 hospital with 1 surgeon. This is a smaller community about an hour and a half northwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The cost of living is low, and there is zero state income tax. Overall, the position is ideal for someone seeking a slower pace in IOM who would prefer to be outside of a major metro region but still close enough to drive into the big city as needed.
Position details and requirements:
- Clinical Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of clinical IOM experience and a CNIM.
- Case load: You’ll cover cases 2 days per week, which would always be Mon and Wed. About four times per year, a case may occur on a Tuesday or Thursday – but those are rare and would be with a second surgeon who only handles severely myelopathic cases.
- Case Breakdown: 95% spine, 5% crani’s (training on crani’s is not reqd)
- Location: Wichita Falls, TX (about 1.5 hours northwest of the DFW metro area) – very low cost of living. Please note that you must reside in/around Wichita Falls, and that we cannot consider commuters, part timers, or per diem techs from DFW.
- Compensation: Base salary in the $90k-$100k range + bonus plan + call pay + full benefits package.
- Call Requirement: You’ll be on call one week per month, but you will be called infrequently. Call is paid if you are summoned for a case.
- Timing/Other: We are setting up interviews immediately; Relocation assistance provided.
