Not only is there zero state income tax, but this may be the most affordable metropolitan area in the country. The region has nearly one million residents and is not a “small” desert community – you’ll find the same big box stores as any major city. You can permanently forget Winter, and it’s only a 1-hour drive to South Padre Island, the largest barrier island in the world with 110 miles of pristine, white sand beaches. The name of the game here is affordability, with a slow-paced lifestyle that can’t be duplicated. A new, 3-bedroom house with a pool goes for around $350k. Position details and requirements:
- Clinical Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of clinical IOM experience + CNIM certification
- Environment: All monitoring takes place at one hospital in the McAllen/Edinburg area. Zero travel or commuting. This is as straightforward as it gets.
- Case load: You’ll cover cases about 4 days per week. The pace here is not taxing.

- Compensation: Total compensation in the $100k-$115k range, and we have the flexibility to make this work for a highly motivated individual. A full benefits package (including an exceptional 5% match on a 401k) is included + 4 weeks of PTO.
- Call Requirement: Call is taken on rotation, but the frequency will be low. A bonus per case is paid, if you are called.
