This is the home of the University of Arizona and a metro region of 1 million residents — it’s ideal for those who love the idea of living in AZ but don’t want the expense and traffic of Phoenix. Those who are fans of astronomy will be in heaven, as Tucson is where you’ll find the headquarters for the International Dark Sky Association, as well as world-class observatories like Kitt Peak and the Whipple observatory just a short drive away. You’ll also find the majestic and surreal Saguaro National Park, home to the world’s largest cacti! What is particularly interesting about this role is that you will have the opportunity to be involved in a very high number of neuro cases (training on craniotomies is available), as well as the chance to move into a managerial role within a year, if desired.
Position details and requirements:
Clinical Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of clinical IOM experience + CNIM certification. We may consider CNIM-eligible candidates in certain circumstances.
Environment: You will be monitoring cases in 3 hospitals and 2 surgical center, only a few miles apart. No cross-town traffic to deal with here! This is a commuter’s paradise.
Call Requirements: No call – add-ons could pop up on occasion, but there is not a “typical” call rotation.
Travel: None
Scheduling: 3-4 day weeks are the norm
Case Breakdown: 60% spine, 40% crani’s
